Jason is a science educator, writer and natural products researcher originally from the Deep South in Mississippi transplanted on the West Coast in Southern Oregon. With an extensive background in philosophy, education, and biology, Jason uses writing to explore essential questions about critical concepts in an attempt to promote critical thinking skills and public scientific literacy about the natural world. When he is not teaching, writing, or spending time in laboratories playing with plants and mushrooms, he is spending time with his wife and daughter enjoying life and spending as much time laughing as possible.
